It listens
Start a session in the web app with your call's browser tab or your microphone, or in the Chrome extension on Google Meet. Hinty transcribes live and tells the speakers apart.

It spots the question
When the other person asks you something, Hinty catches it. Small talk like "how are you?" and questions that were already answered are skipped.

You get the hint
A short answer appears about 1-2 seconds after the question ends. If your documents cover it, the hint is built from them and shows the source.

Does the other person see Hinty?
No bot joins the call. Hinty listens to the audio on your device and shows hints only on your screen. Recording and consent rules differ between countries and companies, so when in doubt, tell the people you talk to.
Which apps does it work with?
Google Meet through the Chrome extension. Any call running in a browser tab (Google Meet, Zoom or Teams in the browser) through the web app. And anything you can hear in the room through the microphone.
How fast are the hints?
Usually about 1-2 seconds after the question ends. It depends on your connection and on how long the question is.
Which languages are supported?
Hints can be shown in English, Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Danish, Norwegian and Dutch. In Translator mode you talk in one of them and read hints in another.
What counts as a minute?
The time Hinty listens during a session. The Free plan has 5 minutes a month, paid plans more, and you can top up when you run out.
Is this the same as Hinty Talk?
No. Hinty Talk is our app for learning a language with AI friends. Hinty Assistant helps you in real conversations. They are separate products with separate plans.
