1. Tell me about yourself.
"I'm a data analyst with six years of experience in e-commerce. In my current role at a retailer in Utrecht I build the dashboards our marketing team uses every day, and last year my analysis helped cut our return rate by 12%. Now I'd like to work in a more international team, which is why this role caught my eye."
Tip: heden, verleden, toekomst in 60 seconden. Geen cv vanaf de middelbare school.
2. Why do you want to work here?
"I've used your app for years, and I like how you've grown from a Dutch start-up into a company with customers all over Europe."
3. Why are you leaving your current job?
"I've learned a lot there, but almost all of our work is for the Dutch market. This role would let me work on international projects."
Tip: nooit negatief over je huidige werkgever.
4. What are your strengths?
"I'm good at turning messy data into clear answers. Last quarter I combined data from three systems into one report, and management now uses it every week."
5. What is your biggest weakness?
"I used to say yes to every request, so some deadlines slipped. Now I agree on priorities with my manager at the start of each week."
6. Where do you see yourself in five years?
"I'd like to be leading a small analytics team."
7. Why should we hire you?
"You need someone who can explain data to non-technical colleagues from day one. That's what I've been doing for six years."
8. Tell me about a difficult situation at work and how you handled it.
"Two weeks before a big sale, our tracking stopped working (Situation). I had to make sure we could still measure the results (Task). I set up a temporary fix with our developers (Action). We measured the whole campaign, and it became our best week of the year (Result)."
9. Tell me about a mistake you made.
"I once sent a report with last month's figures. I told my manager straight away, sent a corrected version within the hour and now I always do a final check."
10. How do you handle stress and pressure?
"I break big tasks into small steps and start with what matters most. That kept me calm during our busiest season."
11. Describe a conflict with a colleague.
"A colleague and I disagreed about which figures to show the board. We tested both versions with two managers and went with the clearer one."
12. Tell me about a project you're proud of.
"The customer dashboard I built. The team used to spend a full day every month collecting numbers. Now it updates automatically."
13. How do you prioritise your work?
"I look at deadlines and impact. Urgent and important comes first, and I block time in my calendar for focused work."
14. Do you prefer working alone or in a team?
"Both. I like doing the analysis on my own, but I get the best results when I discuss the findings with the team."
15. What do you know about our company?
"You were founded in Eindhoven in 2014, you now have offices in Amsterdam and Berlin, and last year you launched in the UK."
16. What are your salary expectations?
"Based on my experience and the market for this role, I'm looking for around 4,800 euros gross per month, excluding holiday allowance. I'm open to discussing the whole package."
17. When can you start?
"My notice period is one month, so I could start on the first of March."
Tip: opzegtermijn is "notice period".
18. How would your colleagues describe you?
"Probably as calm and reliable. People often ask me to double-check their numbers."
19. Can you explain the gap in your CV?
"I took six months off to care for a family member. During that time I also did an online course in Python."
20. Do you have any questions for us?
"What would success look like in this role after the first six months?" of "Who would I work with most?"
Tip: bereid altijd minstens één vraag voor. "No, thank you" komt ongeïnteresseerd over.

FAQ
Bijna altijd: "Tell me about yourself", "Why do you want to work here?", een vraag naar je sterke en zwakke punten, een voorbeeld uit je ervaring en aan het eind "Do you have any questions for us?".
"Notice period". Bijvoorbeeld: "My notice period is one month."
Bijvoorbeeld: "4,800 euros gross per month, excluding holiday allowance" of "around 62,000 euros a year, including holiday allowance".
